This week we aquired several new members of the Printz animal family. Manda has always loved Dairy goats and she was so glad to get back to the farm where she could have a few. Well on thursday we went and picke out 2 Oberhasli does: Euphoria (we didn't pick her name) who is about 1 1/2 years old registered very sweet and she is currently milking. We also got a little kid goat who was born on May 9th! She is as cute as a botton and very friendly, she LOVES to follow us every where therefore her nickname "Shadow". We also picked up a bunch of Chickens some rhode Island reds and some barred rocks. Here are some of the pictures captured:

Home sweet home #2

Whew! We have been insanely busy!!!!!!!! Our first week here was spent unloading our trailer which has everything that we will live off of for the next couple of months. (air mattresses, clothes, fridge, washer exect) Also during that first week we weeded and planted a large garden (about 1/4 acer) . The second week we ripped up the upstairs carpet and started tileing. That weekend some dear friends of ours came and visited us! :-D We only had one day with them but we all had alot of fun. We romped around the farm and played and had a cook out. I'm so glad they were able to come! This week we worked on painting rooms, which was a nice break from tileing!
Painting Amanda and Abby's room:

Mixing paint:

The room before any work was done:

Manda working on texturing the wall. It REALLY needed to be textured as there was a carpet on the wall previously and there was some mortar? on the wall in strange patterens.

We have had some fun times too! Here are some highlights:
Turtle catching!

Saint loved to bark at the poor turtle!

Frog boy is back in his domain!!!! And he LOVES it! :-)

Niki came for lunch after church one day, isn't she pretty???? :-D

Cucumber glasses?

One of our sweet friends from TX loved the mirrors!

THIS is what you do to cool off in the summer!

Big blow!

Our wheat field!!!

Combine harvesting the wheat in our neighbors field:

Tractor (John deer!!!) pulling the grain cart:

We were fascinated by the whole thing!

WHEAT!!!

Well dear friends, it is time for me to say adios and hit the trail! AKA I need to get off the computer and get working!!!! ;-) PLEASE let us know if you can think of any thing you'd like to see on here or something you'd like to know about! Just let us know what you think about the blog! You can do that by: calling us, emailing us, Facebooking us, or by commenting on the blog!

Home sweet home! Pt #1

The room before renovations it was carpeted but it was worn out and smelled awful. :-P Really awful.

Getting the carpet off and there is hard wood floor underneath but is wasn't in the greatest of condition. :-( There were millions of tacks and nails sticking up out of the floor. It took alot of time to pull them all out!

Becca pulling out some of the tacks.

Laying the tile! Right now all the tile is layed but we need to grout and seal it.

We freaked when we saw the color of the downstairs rooms PINK! EWWWWWWW gross!

After alot of work the Printz girls took a break and went to the D-day 40s dance! ALLL of the girls went except for Mom and we had a great time! Since we have meager supplies we were so grateful when Niki let us borrow some of her dresses! No we were not 40s era dresses but we tried! :-) We all had a really great time as sisters! Look at how big Becca is!
Driving there!
This was a random photo but it though it looked neat! CD cover??? LOL!
A flag as the last bit of light faded away.
We also had fire works one evening! Abby is clad in PJs with a parachute atop her head!! :-)

KS Here we come!

On the road! Our van looks very small as a shadow.
KS Here we come! All we have to do is click our heels or so we wished.....
Below are some of the pictures of us getting ready to leave, actually hitting the road and then arriving:
Our dear friends (I almost ought to say family :-) who are also our neighbors were so kind and invited us over for dinner during our packing. It was a huge blessing to not have to worry about cooking while the house was hectic! We are going to miss them sooooo much! Abby had so much fun with baby Elizabeth who for the record is the happyest baby on earth! (not to mention the cutest!) One of the greatest things about living in TX was our increadible neighbors. Every single one of y'all are like family! Come and visit us!!!!!!! :-)

One of my favorite moments in the moving experiance was seeing these guys pack the elk!!! HEHE !

And loading......

While traviling I saw this cross on a church and thought it was a beautiful reminder!

need I say anything? We are home!!!!
I thought the "electric couple" was pretty funny! Some pics from the farm:
Well I need to go for now but I hope to write another update some time this week and let you know what we are up to! Some of which includes: Tileing, planting our spring garden, and lots more!

Moving!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The elk all wrapped up for traveling.

Well we are moving again! This should be the last time though Lord willing. :-) I'm going to copy paste an email that I sent to most of our family and friends:

Hello everyone! Just wanted to let you all know that we are in the process of moving from Harker Heights,TX to Abilene, KS. As I type this our house is wall to wall packed with boxes. Tomorrow the moving truck comes! In a short two days we will be leaving Texas. We are really sad to be leaving our friends here but very excited to be reuniting with our friends in KS! And let me not forget Niki! Some of you might accidentally get this email twice.Sorry! We are just trying to make sure that everyone knows what is going on with our family and we also want you to have our "new" phone number and address so we can keep in touch and hopefully have some visitors! If you wan to see what we are up to we now have a blog! here is the link: www.sprintzfamily.blogspot.com/ We won't have Internet for awhile when we get to KS but I hope that we can keep you updated as best as we can! When we get to the farm we are going to be doing some intensive renovating. We are planning on having our household goods in storage for 2 months and"roughing it" while we gut the bathrooms, texture and paint all the walls, replace all the flooring, and fixing various other things. We plan on building a huge metal barn to keep the hay, tractor, and animals in during those 2 months! Well we need to get back to last minute packing... I pray that the Lord will bless you all! The Printz family

I did not put our address of phone# up here just to be safe, if you do want our address and number let me know and I'll email it to you!
